About the Community

One of the most unique attributes of the Vineyards on Lake Wylie is the lifestyle that it offers yet is in such close proximity to Uptown Charlotte, major Interstates and Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Its the largest resort style lake front community with this kind of access to the for-mentioned locations. The airport is so close that residents use a little known access road that take you to the terminal in literally 5 minutes. Yet the community is situated in such a way that it is out of line with nearby runways eliminating any associated nuisances with noise etc. The cities perimeter highway 485 is also just outside the entrance and conveniently situated between the other two major interstates highways 85 & 77.

The community is a bit of an oasis in that it is a large resort style community nestled among older lake homes which is typical of North and South Carolina lake properties. A scenic entrance drive takes you into The Vineyards on Lake Wylie where a large round about and stately entrance monument separates Vineyard residents from other islanders. The waterfront area of the Vineyards serves as its primary focal point with its Waterfront Marina, Boardwalk, Boat Ramp and Canoe dock. Along the waterfront residents enjoy lake front access with picnic and outdoor grilling areas.

The resort style pool sits along the waters edge and a proposed future Clubhouse are part of the communities future development plans. A boat storage area is available to residents as well as a separate amenity which includes a community pavilion and pickle ball courts.

About the Homes and Real Estate

The Community offers several neighborhoods with many housing options. You can find attached Waterfront Town homes in the community of Monterrey and less expensive Town homes off the water in Kenwood. The Villages of Calistoga offer a few varieties of family style two story homes. The Community has dedicated two unique neighborhoods for Active Adult Living. Napa at Vineyards features smaller homes ranging from  1600 sf – 2700 sf from the low $200’s with Lawn Care included in the HOA fees. A second community Salinas at The Vineyards on Lake Wylie offers larger ranch style homes on wider home sites. The newest community is San Simeon which features a small enclave of prestigious homes including 7 waterfront homes each with their own dock. Additional homes will have the option to include a boat slip within the Vineyards on Lake Wylie Marina.
